Reproducing the Issue

1. Add a new report to Visual Studio application.
2. In the Menu select Crystal Reports.
3. Select Database >Database Expert.
4. Create OLE DB (ADO) connection, select Microsoft OLE DB Provider fro SQL Server and following will appear:

Resolution

• As per the error description, SQL Server does not exist or access denied.
• Ensure that desired server is selected.
• Enter the correct information in the Connection Information window.
